How We Can Help
EXTERNAL
BODYWORK
Fascia-Based Release for Pregnancy Comfort and Optimal Birth Positioning
Our external bodywork blends very gentle yet targeted fascia-based releases with focused trigger point pressure to ease muscle and ligament tightness throughout your body. Designed to reduce soft tissue tension and promote deep relaxation, this work helps create the space and ease your body needs during pregnancy, early labour, and postpartum.
Our fascia-based release work is at the heart of our Pregna-Ease™,LabourFlow™, and PostHarmony™sessions.
This work might be right for you if you are experiencing:
Tension & Pain
Active tension or pain during pregnancy or postpartum.
Difficulty finding lasting relief through stretching alone.
Self-massage that provides only temporary relief or none at all.
Persistent discomfort that hasn't responded to other modalities.
Tightness, numbness, or sensitivity around a caesarean, perineal or body scar.
Fetal Positioning
Preparing your body for birth.
Experiencing any less-than-ideal baby position e.g. posterior, tilted, high head, breech etc.
Slow or stalled early labour progress.
What to Expect During This Work:
Structural Insights: A visual assessment to identify any imbalances across the ribs, hips, or sacrum that may be influencing comfort or positioning.
Baby's Position Check: During pregnancy, we perform gentle abdominal palpation to assess your baby's alignment and movement.
Fascia Care: Specialised full-body gentle fascial releases tailored to you and your baby's unique needs. Improving mobility, ease, and fascial flow. This is at the heart of our work.
Relieving Tension: When indicated, we may incorporate focused trigger point pressure to release deeper muscle and ligament tightness.
Mind-Body Connection: Nervous system support can be an integral part of understanding pain and sub-optimal fetal positions. We use fascia-based work to explore what the body may be holding and to find gentle ways to help you understand and release it. (We only ever talk about what you're comfortable with)
INTERNAL
BODYWORK
Gentle Pelvic Release to Create Space, Comfort, and Confidence for Birth
Our internal bodywork focuses on gently exploring and releasing tension within the pelvic structures through the vagina. This deeply intentional work can be profoundly effective for persistent pelvic discomfort, optimising fetal positioning, and creating a softer, more open environment for your baby's journey through birth.
We understand that this work can feel vulnerable — which is why we move slowly, honouring your physical comfort and emotional boundaries at every step. Gabrielle creates a compassionate and supportive space, guiding you gently through each moment so that your body can release tension safely and effectively.
For the best results, we recommend beginning with at least one external bodywork session first. This allows us to build trust, address whole-body tension before localising releases in the pelvis, and help you feel genuinely ready for this deeper level of release work.
This work might be right for you if you are experiencing:
Tension & Pain
A diagnosis of a hypertonic or tense pelvic floor.
Persistent pelvic pain that hasn't responded to other modalities.
Somatic memory held in the pelvis from previous births, procedures, or trauma.
Perineal scarring with tightness, pulling, or discomfort.
Fetal Positioning
Birth preparation, especially following a previous long or challenging labour.
A persistently less-than-ideal baby position, such as deflexed, posterior, high head, or breech
What to Expect During This Work:
Body Consent: A significant portion of the session is dedicated to establishing genuine body consent, which looks different from verbal agreement alone. The body needs slowness, time, and attunement to feel truly ready to receive this work. This process makes the release more comfortable, more effective, and longer-lasting.
Tension Point Release: Using one or two fingers, we gently explore and release areas of holding within the pelvic space.
Mindful Connection: Nervous system support is often woven through this work to address the emotional and somatic layers of persistent pain or positioning challenges. This may include guided conversation, breath-work, or meditation, always at a pace and depth that feels right for you. (We only ever talk about what you're comfortable with)
NERVOUS SYSTEM BODYWORK
Supporting the Body-Brain Conversation for Deeper Release and Birth Readiness
Our nervous system release work bridges the communication gap between your brain and body, helping you to better understand what your body has been emotionally holding onto. Using a specifically crafted technique along the spine and pelvis, we are able to feel subtle fascial responses that guide us and you, towards the thoughts, feelings, or memories your body is ready to process.
This isn't about recounting every difficult experience you've ever had. It's about following what the body itself wants to bring to the surface, gently, safely, and at your pace. To create greater ease, clarity, and alignment as you move toward birth or your postpartum recovery.
This work might be right for you if you are experiencing:
Emotional
Feeling tearful without a clear reason.
Recurring thoughts or memories that still feel close, even with time passed.
Certain topics or memories that consistently bring up strong physical responses.
Feeling irritable, foggy, or unlike yourself and unsure why.
Birth concerns that create a felt sense in the body, not just a thought.
Tension & Pain
Chronic tension or pain that predates your pregnancy.
Persistent tightness in specific areas. Such as the hips or glutes, that never fully releases.
Discomfort that has not alleviated with other forms of bodywork.
Fetal Positioning
Birth preparation.
A persistently less-than-ideal baby position. Such as posterior, high head, or breech.
Waters broken without the onset of labour.
A prolonged pregnancy with no signs of labour.
Ongoing early labour signs with a well-positioned baby, but no progress.
What to Expect During This Work:
Body Consent: Because this work relies on the body communicating its own needs, we begin by ensuring the body feels ready and willing to engage. There are gentle ways we can confirm this together before we begin.
The Technique: With one hand resting on the spine and the other on the pelvis, we are able to ask your body questions and receive a tangible, palpable fascial response that guides the session. This leads us toward the message your body most needs to communicate, whether that's "I don't feel safe", "I don't feel heard", or "I need more connection." This is often deep and meaningful work. Not everyone cries, but when tears come, they support an important release. (We only ever talk about what you're comfortable with).
